A number of well-known poker pros were among those approaching the final table -  Daniel "B_O_K_E" Bokesch in 23rd place (USD 9,250), 2008 WSOP ME "November Nine" member Kelly Kim in 16th place (USD 12,375), and Franklin "fsoyars" Hardy in 15th place (USD 17,500), to name a few.

Dubbeemin turned out to make a super-aggressive game, and by the time three players remained at the table, his chip count grew up to 13,219,393, whereas his opponents valleyho and TheTotalPkg had 8,438,068 and 2,742,539 in chips, respectively. When the turn and river came, TheTotalPkg earned USD 170,000 for third and quit.

In heads-up play dubbeemin was holding 18,710,031 in chips to valleyho's 5,689,969. It ended up quickly, valleyho won USD 262,500 for finishing as runner-up, while dubbeemin pocketed USD 432,400 for his FTOPS IX Main Event victory.
