| New Super Casino Planned for Next Year in Quebec, Canada |
A modern super casino is planned for a well known resort town of Mont-Tremblant, Quebec, Canada. Loto-Quebec, provincially owned lottery agency, expects the new luxury casino to be open in summer of 2009. The project will cost $61 million and is anticipated to earn $50 million of annual revenues. The casino will create 175 new jobs. 700,000 quests are expected to visit the casino each year. It will be the country’s fourth casino and is scheduled to be ready for operations next summer. The casino will be located in the Laurentian town, north of Montreal. It will include a private section for high-rollers in addition to 400 slot machines, 20 gaming tables and five electronic Texas hold ’em games. The announcement planned for last week was postponed when there was found a body near the Montreal Casino. As it had been discovered a man used to visit the casino. Two people had committed suicide at Quebec casinos between 1999 and 2007 in accordance with Loto-Quebec report made this February. More than that, such a loss as $50,000 in a single visit had led six other people to make a suicide attempt.
