The B.C. government is intended to employ nine "responsible gambling information officers" whose responsibility will be educating gamblers at every casino in Metro Vancouver, Victoria and Nanaimo, reported The Province, Canada. Paul Smith, B.C. Lottery Corp. spokesman pointed that this move was aimed at helping casino players to gamble responsibly. The officers will be informing players during peak hours from the special booths located at each casino, said Smith. As a result players will learn about all gaming threats. Responsible officers will also be aimed to locate distressed gamblers and offer their help.
